So I never understood Chianti. Or Italian wines for that matter. But now that i’m learning more about wine, I am (re)discovering wines by the dozen. Literally. And it’s so much fun! Besides that, I can really get excited by wine & foodpairing.
Back to the subject: Chianti, I never understood it. But hell, sangiovese!
Very well structured and elegant and soft tannins; and cherry, berries and black fruit aroma and flavours, this is great stuff!
